side mirrors stolen in less than a minute

my car was sitting in front of my house. in the poring rain on the camera in front of my house you can see someone walk straight up to my window and start yanking and went straight for the driver side right after and kept moving. since the camera is being distorted from the rain you cant really make out a face. i called 2 dealers and they both have to order the mirrors and they're expensive. its just the glass.
any ideas where i can get this done besides a stealership?

I feel you pain. Same thing happened to me. Had my passenger side mirror stolen. Went to back out of my driveway and looked over and nothing there. Was taken clean off the car no sign of any other damage or struggle. Anyway, had to have everthing relpaced including the motors. Takes about 4-5 days to get the parts and then they have to paint the mirror cap. If you put the carbon fiber caps on maybe able to get it a little sooner.

nothing happened to my caps just my glass was taken

I think it was around 1200 in total parts and labor from the stealership.

hey i had the same thing happen to me when i had my 335xi. They are only held on by a clips that lock in by pushing it in. They can pop right out when u pull on it. It happened to me twice!!!! I live in queens somone def followed me home and then came back at night and took them!!!! i paid 350 per glass because they auto dim!!! it easy to install yourself....

You should get into the habit of closing your mirrors, i do it every time i park.

So SORRY to hear about your unforunate loss. I had a similar situation happen to me about 15 years ago on my first ever new car,which happened to be an acura integra GSR, i had the car for less then one week, when I parked out in front of my house on thanksgiving night. Woke up the next morning just to admire my ride did a walk around and BAM!!! both my head lights had been stolen as well as my After market fog lights...
I know how it feels dude, total feeling of being violated.
You work you A$$ for what you have and then some A-hole comes and just wrecks it.
