Yep, have a house booked for that weekend with a couple buddies. That'll be my first experience there

Track looks incredible!

Definitely need to keep it on the pavement. Some of those hills as runoffs would be incredibly dangerous. Closer is safer, it's just costly. At least for cars. Wonder how the biking community is responding.

I ran some used Re71’s on a rainout day at the track earlier this year. Totally fine. The drive home on the tires was more difficult than on-track. Depends on the track surface though, my day was at Eagles Canyon where the track handles water veryyy well

An off anywhere there is gonna be a bad time. Corners over a crest = accident waiting to happen, especially for beginners.

Not especially beginners, but everyone if they let a Porsche on track that hasn't been potty trained yet.

That's a 7-8/10ths kind of track on a bike.. I did thunderhill east on a bike last week and counted atleast 13 wrecks throughout the day mostly on 14/15 and a spectacular crash going into turn 1. Everyone walked away though, no red flags… love that no wall life.

The hourly forecast for Pittsburg, PA shows 30% rain here and there in 50 deg. I think it will be fine for the RE-71R

Agreed it's a busy elevation change track and I think most would be better off in a crumple barrier than down the side of the hill behind it.

They had a couple of bikes out there a month or so ago. I think they posted some lap videos

I for one love the motivation behind the track architecture, walls and all.

so many will drive this track backed away from the edge, and those who cross it will be rewarded with a damaged car.

Eat your wheaties. This is going to host some epic IMSA races in time.

Agreed. And the track was built with multiple layouts in mind. I think at least 4.

I don't think people realize it was built by some folks who own an imsa team (pf racing) and their goal is to bring it there

I love tracking the M3, but the Toyota GR86 6 speed is a very very appealing to me for future. None if the new BMWs make me want to track them and I can't see me stomaching the expense of building another E92 M3.

Having said that, as an E92 M3 addict it is hard to know what the future will bring. At the moment I try to enjoy it until it dies or I go bankrupt.

Went with the full SPL kit up front finally, car was finished just in time for my last race of the season this weekend. Unfortunately one of my rotors is trashed and I couldn't source a replacement in time

So instead of the M3 in TT3, I am just going to run my RS3 in TTU since I dont have paperwork done for the car.

Last minute install on the Audi, 4" Unitronic turbo inlet and 4" intake. Parts have been sitting around for a while but the turbo inlet is a major pain in the ass to install so I have put it off.

You could have asked here on the Discord - I have a spare set of 380x35 ST rotors. I'm sure lots of us have spare parts.

I've always thought I would just track a Miata (if I fit right) if I ever balled up the m3. The fun is in the challenge. But I also discovered half of the fun is I love this car and want the fun, sounds, and thrills this car brings.

I am heavily debating motor swapping my current 86 or buying a new 86 and swapping over all of my parts... decisions decisions lol
It's a great platform, highly recommend. I miss my M3 but for very different reasons than I like the FRS for

Almost 200 miles at PittRace today. Heavy rain all day (I think well over an inch). Made the tire decision very easy. MPSS was the way to go. Not much traffic, and was passed only once on an outlap. Successful day. Supposed to be less rain tomorrow, so have the RE71s mounted for tomorrow.

Tony from TC Design is making some progress on our new race car. Hoping to shake it down late this year.
