... don't mean to be appear insensitive regarding the accident in the video. I keep going back to this video to play it through the aux in my car. I am sorry he wrecked it but damn that sound.

That sound captures the essence of what an M3 should at the least provide its driver. Sorry to whoever this is, but you put on a damn good show.

That's because you're on M3post, where e9X M3 owners hang out-- not M3forum, where e46 M3 owners reside.

Confirmation bias was something I was thinking about the moment I opened this thread.

So 1-1.5 years into the production run of the E9x, many got out of leases early/sold and went back to E46 is the implied assertion? I know of a few that did much later, almost all for a track car, but not the parallel situation to what is being seen now in my experience, whether its M3post, M3 Forum, people I know personally, meeting others at track events, talking to local dealer and Dinan, who see a lot of cars coming thru in this market.

I've had an M4 for awhile now, and it sat on the street for so long that I gave it to my assistant to drive. I much prefer my E90. Don't get me wrong, the M4 is a great car, but it just doesn't do it for me like the V8 does, especially with the Harrop Supercharger. My E46 also sits, undriven - but on the occasion that I do drive it, I really like it. To me, the E46 and the E90 have more personality. As a daily, the M4 is more practical.

Nice touch with the assistant Mike. Wouldn't mind my boss giving me a car to use!

lol, yes, that happened then.

I, personally, had a deposit securing the first allocation at my dealership back in 2007/8. Test drove their demo car, got my deposit back.

It's certainly possible. I loved my e46 M3, and would have no problem driving another one every day, but I like my e92 M3 even better.

I certainly would never try to claim it's a better car for everyone!

Stock vs stock, the e9X M3 is faster and more comfortable, which, for many people, makes it a better car.

But, as this thread points out, there's more to a car than speed/comfort/tech...

Went from an e60 M5 (pig) to a 09 335i Cobb stage 2, to 2013 f-series 535 m sport (like a 7 series) to my new to me 2011 e90 m3 ZCP. Reminds me of my old 1993 Mr2 steering with my m5's power.

FWIW, it feels as fast as my M5 and the handling makes it fun at legal speeds.
