Annoying brake dust on ZCP wheels

Hi guys
I use diablo gel from Chemical guys to clean my ZCP wheels which seemed to work like a charm. However after 4-5 days of daily driving wheels turn gray with brake dust. Even worst brake dust seems to cover low sections of side skirt. Earlier I saw somewhere in this forum mention of Armor All to reduce brake dust sticking to wheels. Did anybody else try this? Any other suggestion keep brake dust off the wheels?

I havent made my mind yet. But in case i end up changing my oem pads to reduce brake dust what is a good alternative to oem pads. something good for DD as well as occasional track use..

Try Sonax full effect. It is the best I've used.

He is looking for something to help keep his wheels cleaner, longer. One of the down sides to a good braking system is dust. The German cars are very popular for this. Other than normal washing / cleaning you can use a paint sealant on your wheels to help make them "easier" to clean when you do clean them. The other alternative would be ceramic brake pads, but that is up to you. Hope this helps.

Wheel wax works damn good. It'll prolly take you all day on ZCP wheels to apply

Brake dust is a BMW feature. The pre-2011 MY standard dark gray 18" wheels are the best cure I've seen for it.

+1. Unfortunately I have the non-anthracite OEM 18"s. When the dust starts to build up on my wheels though, it starts to look like the original OEM wheels.

I use Klasse High Gloss Sealant on my ZCP wheels. It seems to do a really nice job of repelling brake dust. I usually wash the car on the weekends and I have noticed that the wheels are markedly less dirty at the end of the week. And it is easy on easy off - just apply a very thin coat.

Poorboys Wheels Sealant, make sure you do not let it sit on your wheels longer than 10 minutes or it turns to cement.

I'll vouch for that, I don't like it. Had great luck with Klasse and Wheel Wax. Swissvax has a nice high end one that Phil sells at detailersdomain, not sure whether it is worth the premium though.

I tried the Armor All Wheel Protectant where (from their video) everything just glide off of the wheel. It worked for me for about 2-3 weeks; then you'll have to clean and re-spray it. I can only get into two sprays before it's empty. There were concern that it might effect the rotors; I'm a daily driver and I didn't notice anything. I do want to try some of the other products mention above.

PS. I hear from my clear bra installer that Armor All wheel products might put yellow/orange/brown dots on the bra.
