ABS light, Yellow brake light, DSC all on. Help!

Hello everyone, I have a 2008 e92 M3. My abs light is on, yellow brake light, DSC light on. I have three abs codes. 5DD0. 5DD2. 5DF0. I also have four control messages - Start off assist off , DBC malfunction , Driving stability , and DSC restricted. Anyone know what's going??

Any help would be appreciated greatly !

Sounds similar to when my ABS module went out. The light trifecta. Don't recall the codes, however. This was actually covered by my now defunct aftermarket warranty company. New part was $2600. Instead, my mechanic sent mine to ModuleMasters for rebuild (and 5 year warranty) for about a grand all told.

Check your steering wheel and wheel sensors! Also check your abs wire under the hood near your airbox, if it's hanging out,

Did you have an 08 M3 as well? I'm thinking I might take the route you took. Anything I should know about ModuleMasters?

My CEL is not on. I do however get a emission malfunction control message every once in a while.

PS: Whats a T/A ? Throttle Actuator? I replaced both of them. Didn't recode anything though.

It looks like I had all of the same warning lights as you did...and it was a wheel speed sensor. Good luck!

All my speed sensors seem to be working according to my scanner tool. They are reading same speed.

dirty steering angle sensor was the culprit for these failures on my car; I did not pull codes so I can't say if I had the same ones

This is on my E39 before, but I think still relevant. I had the trifecta pop up twice before and 1) First time it was indeed the ABS module. 2) The other time this came up it was due to the ECU cable that was near the back of the engine block that feeds steering and speed data back to the ECU. It's supposed to be clipped properly but the idiots at Dinan I believe had not clipped it properly after the valve cover gasket. Long story short, the wire insulation was touching part of the heat shield and was exposed.....so a bad cable issue.

Dinan resoldered the cable (although I should have pushed them to replace) and problem resolved.

If it's the ABS module, then sending it BBA reman is the way to go. Much cheaper than buying a new module. Just take it out and ship it to them and you'll get the fix back in less than a week.
