Bad Experience with European Auto Source
I'm new to this site, having just picked up a 2011 AW Coupe. It's a daily driver but I wanted to add some typical exterior mods - cf rear spoiler, cf front spoiler, cf mirror covers, cf hood vents, black grills, side markers, etc. Eight days after I initially placed the order, I called today asked for a tracking number as the pieces were supposed to have arrived today (for an install appointment tomorrow). After being placed on hold for literally 20 minutes, Jon finally admits they screwed up and somehow never internally communicated to fulfill the order. Pissed, I of course asked to then talk with his manager, but after another 5 minutes on hold, Jon comes back and says he's busy with a car. I simply replied with a "cancel my order".
Frustrated from my first experience dealing with the BMW aftermarket, I quickly did some additional research and called Andrew over at IND. He was immediately honest in checking what he had in stock, what could be drop shipped, and what was back-ordered (1 item). He provided a totally different level of experience, honestly, and efficiency on frankly a straight forward order. I highly recommend IND while cautioning those who might consider EAS. I've dealt with a number of really good tuners and part shops over the years, having built an Underground Superleggera, Switzer GTR and GT2, AP Engineering 7 second Supra, etc. I've been around the tuning scene for awhile and realize stuff goes wrong, but there is no excuse to not proactively address an issue and offer to make it right to the customer. End of my rant. This M3 replaced a much faster CTS-V (with significant mods), so I need to start looking under the hood soon. Jamie |

I agree we are all human, but this was a very simple order that they should be able to execute. Their first mistake was not internally communicating what they are paid to do. Their second mistake was not proactively dealing with it once they discovered they screwed up. I canceled my order because of the second. That, in my opinion, speaks to who they are as a company. I'm sure EAS has historically shipped parts to customers in a reasonable manner or else I would assume they would no longer be in business. I posted my experience simply for those who may be debating which company to order through. |

Why would someone have to show you pics to have credibility, what are you the PSBI? (Platinum Sponsor Bureau of Investigation) EAS may be a good company but I can guarantee they're not infallable (nor is any). However, I can recall on several occasions when one of their reps posted here in a very unprefessional mannor. That there gave me reason to think twice about ordering from them.

Another insightful reply. I showed you how to go do your own research. Or go call Tym @ Switzer, Kevin @ UGR, Don @ Accelerated Performance, SW @ Elite, etc. if you are so obsessed with my cars. Anyone could post pics of random cars and claim ownership.

I had similar issues with EAS not doing additional legwork to remedy issues with my order.
Cal@SonicMS jumped to help me, find stock, and assist before EAS could pull the order together. |

What a joke. The sad thing is you don't even care if he actually owns and/or shows you he has an e9x M3 - you only want to see his non-BMW cars

Bummer to hear that OP,
I have worked with Tom as EAS, and they have been nothing but great for me. Perhaps the individual that took the order was having a bad day for one reason or another, but still not a excuse. Welcome to the M3 world and looking forward to hearing about your M as it sound like you have some good plans for it. |

That's pretty stern language from someone who's not a mod. Or did you leave the house without your red username today?

personally i've had pretty good service from EAS... they even dropped off a part for me at a local MFEST meet vs shipping it for me. When they did have to ship a part it usually arrived in two days.
i'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience... i'm wondering if it has to do with them getting a g-power twin charged E60M5 ready for SEMA? could be... but still no excuse. as for the member asking to see pictures of your car... i took it more as a joke but i would love to see your cars. i'm not members on those other forums so i'm probably not going to try and make a username just to see those pics. If you don't mind... wanna PM them to me just cause i <3 fast cars hehe

OP is a well known person in 6speedonline and he doesn't need to post pics or do anything else to prove who he is. Best of luck ohiok04s4!

Ok since this got a bit off topic , here are random pics of some of my cars:
The first car that started my modding bug - 2002 S4 that made 600whp using a custom gt28 turbo kit. Trapped 135. This 1998 Supra was infamous back in 2006 on the streets. Made about 1200whp. Trapped in the high 150's. My 2002 GT2 that made 715whp on a stock motor - the first Protomotive gt30 turbo kit. Like the S4 and Supra, was a fun highway roll racer. Trapped 142. Experimented with a 2007 Z06 on nitrous. Made 1000whp on a 300 shot using a built 454, but kept going through headgaskets. My 1994 drag Supra that has run 7.67 at 188. Will be running Imports vs. Domestics again next weekend. Trying to break in the 40's with our new meth motor and become the fast IRS car in the world: My 2010 GTR. Still the fastest bolt-on GTR - 9.62. My favorite highway roll racer - 2008 Superleggera. Made 1550whp And the car the M3 replaced. Loved this CTS-V. Made 600whp and ran 10.90's on DR's. But I recently moved to CA and this was going to be a pain to register as a daily driver. I'll post pics of my M3 in a week or so once I get the IND pieces (which shipped yesterday ) and BBS CHR's on the car. Last edited by ohioko4s4; 10-28-2011 at 11:22 AM.. |
