Helmsman Yur likely enjoying 'mad HP/TQ' gains from new tune, that with CAI sucking super dense/O2 rich air

Just completed the return trip. Had to add 0.5 qt of oil (Castrol 10w-60) when I got down to FL. Again, no issues whatsoever on the way back. Turned 74k miles.

Also, after I installed the Alpine stage 1 tune (completely stock engine otherwise besides a MS drop in air filter.. 93 octane gas)… I notice the bump in hp/tq more from ~75mph up to the fastest speed I dare to go on a wide open, 3 lane, 70mph speed limit interstate highway, where I can clearly see miles ahead of me....

I got roughly 20mph using cruise control at 84mph…. Is that what would be expected? I feel like I used to get closer to ~24, but maybe I was goin a few mph slower before…

That's better than expected IMO. You might've had tail wind. Cruising At 84mph I'd expect ~18 to 19mpg and that's with properly inflated tires.

That warranty came in clutch. You definitely got your money's worth lol what else was done?
In addition to the rod bearings, the warranty also covered:
- oil pan gasket
- front sway bar bushings
- engine mounts
- water pump
- valve cover gaskets
- oil filter housing gasket
- timing chain lower guide
- power steering rack replacement
- O2 sensor
- 2 x rear diff leaks
- trans leak (included DCT pan replacement)

Total based on invoices came out to $19.3k worth of work covered by the warranty, whew!

I got a laptop, K+DCAN cable and installed all the software to code out my EDC after getting my ohlins R/T but chickened out. So installed my LCI taillights and updated my radar detector.

If anyone wants to remote into my PC and help I'd appreciate it

Interesting input. Flashed stage 1 the other day, feels nice even in low speed but looking forward to a little higher speeds when Winter is gone. (currently snow and -10C in Stockholm).

Btw you have DCT? Noticed any difference in the rev matching?

Yes DCT and I very strongly suggest the Alpine GTS DCT tune for anyone with this transmission. Much smoother operation at very low speeds. It’s how the car should have originally come from the factory. A no brainer mod in my opinion.

Sold my ‘09 AW/FR e92 M3 with < 35k miles and almost every possible mod (pulled some to put on my ‘12 e92 M3; have owned both since new). It was sold to a friend and was $3k short of getting what I wanted with all of the mods. Medical issues forced the sell

Sadly no. I have tried to look everywhere for another.

It was the weekend, but I replaced all O2 sensors. Not too bad of a process at all. 91k miles on the car. Unsure if the sensors were original or not. Amazon had the Bosch sensors for significantly less than ECS or FCP Euro.
