E92 Frozen Silver Build Thread

Hello M3Post,
Starting a build thread for a my recently acquired E92 Frozen silver edition. Been a long time fan of the E9X M series. Helped a friend purchase a 2011.75 Comp E90 M/T in 2015. Spent a good bit of time behind the wheel of his car. Recently my job as forced me back into the office four days a week. This meant I needed a car I could commute in. I cross shopped a few different models but ended up in a 2012 E92 M3 Frozen Silver edition. The car was located in Sacramento CA. Performed a fly and drive and drove the car home ~850 miles to Seattle WA over two days.

The S65 is an amazing engine and the superstar of the car. I love it. So much intake noise.

Normally I am a manual guy. Decided to try the DCT. So far not as fun as manual but still fun. We will see how my opinion changes over time

• Exterior recondition(lots of dried rubber needs replacing)

• BPM Tune
• BPM DCT Tune
• BPM Coding
• Carbon Mirror covers
• IND Paint matched Reflectors
• IND Roundals with black edge
• IND Black M3 badging
• IND Limited Edition Start button trim + Start button in Red
• Refinish wheels in gloss black
• Ceramic low dust pads
• Blacked out headlights
• Car play integration
• Remove and Replace Window tints

My BPM Pacakge arrived today. Hopefully do the coding and tuning session on Friday next week. Met up with shimmy23 today and purchased his CF mirror caps and blacked out headlights. Headlights need to be uninstalled from his car then will transfer over in the next 2 weeks.

Took the car out to The Shop in settle WA for lunch. Decent photo of the CF mirror caps. This car is so fun in the wet just doing little drifts here and there.

Starting to get some appointments scheduled to get the E92 dialed in.

• Redo Front and Rear window seals
• Repair Yellowing Carbon Roof
• Fix cupholders and seatbelt extenders
• Detail/decon
• Tint redo

My passenger seat belt extender doesn't grab the seat belt. Do folks know if that's an issue of seat belt due to age or an issue with the extender? Hoping the forum has some wisdom on this issue

I'm looking at getting the front and real seals on my E90 redone also. Do you know if the glass has to come out for those?

My initial research shows that it's possible to do both without glass coming out. But it's also highly likely the glass with break/crack during the procedure and then you'll need to replace the glass as well.

Everyone I know codes the seatbelt extender off. Stupid things never work right.

Dropped my car off for a much needed detail and retint. Upon inspection, what I thought was tint on the mirrors is instead a failed mirror. Going to get a new set of glass. Anyone here done the euro glass? I have it on my 997 and love it.

Nothing like a fresh detail and remove the gangster tints. Went over to Xpel XRPlus 70%.

Euro mirrors are a must! Drove a US E90 here in Europe and felt like I could see anything

I think that's just how the auto-dimming side mirrors look. Mine have always looked just like that. I think cars without that option don't have the yellow-ish look and have more of the bluish tint like e46 m3 mirrors had

Euro glass is convex. That means it has a greater field of view. Example on a 997
