I had my thrust arm replaced by a local shop yesterday and thought I'd take a look at their work. Seems the lower control arm took a hit when removing the thrust arm. I am not sure whether these are hammer hits or some deep scratches from a ball joint removal tool, but it doesn't look great imo.
They also sprayed some copper grease all over the spindle which I don't like. Question is how serious can this be for the ball joint and does the control arm need replacing, I am not sure how hard should I pressure them to cover the cost of a new part.

In your situation a replacement is NOT required .

Thanks for the answers, I'll leave it this way for now then.
Yeah, that's the reason why I got angry when I saw it. I don't like when people don't put effort into their job and do it so sloppy without paying attention. It's an M3 goddamit, not a Civic My first and last visit in this shop anyway.

Damn, it looks like somebody wacked the hell out of it several times. I can see why you'd want to replace that. I would. Do they not have rubber mallets!?

If it keeps bothering me I'll just replace it as the control arm costs less than 50€. I think I have zero chances to have it covered by that shop given the funcionality is not affected.
