Hi Charles, was the car on 91 pump gas for these dyno's? I understand it's a pump tune but curious if there was race gas added for the dyno pulls? Thanks.

Haha the Turbo S has to be the most efficient car in the world at putting down the power. It hangs with cars making 700-800 wheel.

I'm doing an intercooler upgrade to my M3 this summer and will be bringing it back Airstrip events. Maybe Alex/Gintani will do a run against my M3 to see what happens in a half mile race between this car and an ESS 650 S/C M3 with DCT. Would be interesting.

Just wait till these guys do a LC build, higher octane and turn up the boost! Then will see some serious power.

Hey! The car was on 91 pump gas, no race gas was added. We would love to run our TT against your M3 at the next Shift S3ctor Airstrip Attack, but by then our car will have a built motor with a lot more boost.

As for those who think there is lag with the turbos - the response is actually much better than a supercharger kit. The car begins to make boost at 2700 RPM on GT28's, so we do not see what lag you are speaking of.

I got a ride in this badboy last weekend and wow is all I can say

The car feels and sounds like a Z06. I will be hardpressed not to swap the blower setup in my car for the TT!

Wow...it would def make more power with better gas then. Are you using the stock fueling with the TT kit?

Look forward to seeing it in action with the LC build and more boost!

We appreciate everyone's incredible patience with us developing our Gintani Twin Turbo E9X M3 Kit. We figured we may as well start a new thread as our previous one has a lot of clutter in it. We are working very hard to finish production parts and release the kit by the end of summer.

We took our TT E90 M3 to a local dyno, Specialty Z, where they use a Dyno Jet. The car is currently running at 7.5 PSI, 91 octane, stock motor, and stock MSS60 ECU.

STD Corrected:

SAE Corrected:

We did a comparison from our Twin Turbo Kit versus our Supercharger Kit, both at the same peak boost of 7.5 PSI:
  • From 3200 RPM to 4500 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 60+ WHP more vs SC.
  • From 4500 RPM to 7000 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 90+ WHP more vs SC.
  • From 7000 RPM to 8300 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 50+ WHP more vs SC.
  • From 3700 RPM to 4600 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 80+ WTQ more vs SC.
  • From 5500 RPM to 6200 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 100+ WTQ more vs SC.
  • From 6200 RPM to 7200 RPM – The Twin Turbo makes 60+ WTQ more vs SC.
  • From 7200 RPM to Redline – The Twin Turbo makes 40+ WTQ more vs SC.

Thank you,
Team Gintani
These are really, REALLY nice results. Congrats guys.

I love the graph against the supercharger. The TT spools quick and reaches max boost by about 3500. I see you're using the GT28. Did you think of using the GTX models? I know they're a bit more expensive, and not totally sure they make a GTX-28. Curious if you considered it.

I'll get these into the Dyno Database as soon as possible. Just need to know the exhaust. Would I be correct in assuming it's full catless, Gintani X-Pipe, and Gintani Race exhaust?

Oh yeah 11-blade billet compressor wheel is sweet. Paired to a twin scroll manfiold it's gonna be tits.

Charles what modifications to the exhaust is needed to have this kit running?

Hey Robert! The turbos we are using are custom made for us by Tial. These are made for higher pressure ratios and better surge line than the GTX turbos. All of our turbo kits use only their top-of-the-line turbos which utilize billet wheels. Trust us guys, we are not cheaping out on any of the parts for our kits. We will be offering 3 different sized turbo setups according to the build and power goal of the project. The turbo sizing will start from GT28/68HTA and go up from there.

Yes, our TT is full catless (Gintani X-Pipe and Gintani test mufflers).

Alex will be out of town for Shift S3ctor's Pikes Peak so we will be at the next one.

Charles what modifications to the exhaust is needed to have this kit running?
Our TT kit will only be available through in-house installation or our authorized dealers who are trained to install our kit properly (quality assurance).

The only modifications needed are from the downpipe to the x-pipe. Customers can use their current exhaust systems, we just need to modify the front section. We will also be offering a full dual 3" exhaust for those who are interested. There is no need to worry about modifying your exhaust setups as the installs will be performed by us or our authorized dealers.

----------------

By the way, I will be in Europe for the next 2 weeks so my response time will be delayed. Thank you!
