Flexray?

What happened to all the buzz about Flexray? Have not seen it mentioned in any press releases. Personally I doubt it made it into the car. It could, though, be one of the weight savings measures used to get the pretty good weight number.

LOL. Flexray is like a running joke, at least as it relates to the upcoming M3. If it was indeed used, and actually did reduce weight even a small amount, I suppose that is sufficient reason to use it though.

One possibility remains: I can envision Flexray providing some benefit in integrating M-DCT with the various control/safety systems such as engine management, DSC, EDC, Steering ration, etc. Maybe that is where there will actually be an upside worth talking about in a press release.

i doubt it has it
I believe it uses hte normal E92 system

There is a small possibility it will be seen in the facelift models of the E9x, but more likely the first to properly use it ( other than the E70 X5 that uses it for only a ferw systems) would be in the F01 and F10 when they are released.


( Thats the new 7 Series and 5 Series for those that dont know )
