StopTech ST-60 Calipers With Stock Discs

Hey All,

Just wanted to ask the questions of whether, the stoptech st-60 6 pot calipers would fit onto standard m3 discs? if so would anybody advise against it?

I dont track the car, just road. Stock brakes are good but wanted a little something more without spending £££ on BBK.

Many Thanks

Different sweep area so it likely won't be plug and play.

In your opinion, do you think its worth the retrofit, trying to make it fit?

No. The stock rotors are not thick enough.

ok thanks, what are the contents of stoptech bbk kit? Calipers, brake lines and discs?

Could i get the discs and calipers and run the stock brake lines, i think it would be cheaper than the bbk kit as a whole?

The brake lines are probably the least expensive part of the kit, by far. And I wouldn't skimp on any part of it. The BBK is engineered as a system. When you consider that a pair of replacement StopTech rotors are $800+, the overall cost of the kit starts to make sense.

Not sure I understand your logic here. The brake lines are less than $200 of the entire 4 wheel kit.

The factory brake lines are one of the most important things to replace.

so basically once you've puchased the discs and calipers, you've pretty much spent the same as a bbk?

Yeah man, the lines are a couple hundred. The calipers and discs are big money.

If anything, change the rotors and not the calipers. The M3 doesn't have a problem stopping, the problem is with keeping the brakes from overheating.

My order:

1. Buy brake cooling duct, if you're not happy...
2. Change pads/fluid, if you're still not happy...
3. Buy BBK
