Akrapovic Install [Evolve Automotive]

First I want to give a big thanks to Evolve Automotive. Namely Imran who I've communicated completely by email/pm. He always responded quickly (if it's during normal waking hours). I was nervous at first as I wired the money directly to their bank. They are legit, and it has paid off. The exhaust took 2 days to get from UK to my house! The exhaust was inspected by them to ensure no surprises then shipped via air. I believe they still have some in stock and they have very competitive prices.

I washed the car in the morning and to my surprise the UPS truck arrived at 9:30 am. I installed the exhaust in my garage and it took about 6 hours because I was pretty anal about wiping down the parts with WD-40 repeatedly and careful with applying the different grease/pastes. Here are the photos and a video at the end with the car in the garage. It was drizzling outside so I havn't even driven the car yet.

The exhaust is extremely nice and I knew it was the one I wanted when I first saw it on that Essen Motor Show thread long ago.

That's Calvin Klein bedding, couldn't find anything else

Color installation manual, a cd, all the greases/pastes, nothing but quality and detail from Akrapovic

At first I wished the tips were welded in, but it's nice to position it exactly how I want it

Only one hydraulic jack which doesn't fit under the front central jacking point = pain in the ass to get 4 jackstands under the car

As everyone has said...the stock exhaust is freaking heavy

If that youtube thing doesn't work, here's the link

I got a special price that I'm not allowed to share since I was their first customer for this exhaust. They wont be offering that price anymore. It included the Bonalume adapters.

I'll look at it again tomorrow, but I think it might be the angle of the camera and thanks for the compliment.

The Ericsson weighs 51.7 pounds, and the Akrapovich weighs 47.4 pounds. Stock weighs 95.4 pounds. So you cut your weight in half.

BTW, now you need Dyno charts to go along with it.
I don't think I can bring myself to pay $100 for a dyno run =( ... although I'd like to know what the car's puttin out...

Nice John,

Just installed mine today at Auto Talent and I'm just at WOW at all the attention in detail this exhaust has. Did you notice Akra also numbered the tips with the pipe so you will have a perfect fit on the tips? AMAZING

I end up driving about 25 miles after the install and got a CEL, what to do now?
