My e93 left the stable last weekend. Surprised that I don't yet regret it…I probably would on a beautiful sunny day like today, but I will be too busy packing and planning to miss it. Once we get settled into the new house I will probably start looking for a e36 or e46 m3…loved the pure grunt of the e9x, but want to go back to the go-cart driving feel of the earlier chassis.

I completely agree with the way you described it. I used to have an e46 non M and it felt like it drove on rails.

That thing was pretty rad!

The e46 seems like the perfect middle ground. The e36 m3 didn't have quite enough power but I do love the more classic looks of it.

I'm also tempted to get an f80 m3 as my daily and a beater 2 door wrangler for snow duty and doors off toy.

It's a FBO and I have to say that makes up for my lost and loved E92 M3!

The AFE was designed to fit the oem elbow. The Dinan looks more rounded than the oem. I will say I think the carbon piece would fit but not sure about the rest...

Hmm, good point. I'll do some research into this. Thanks.

Headed to Autohaus tomorrow to order a new daily! Settled on the x3 m40i - most likely in brooklyn gray over tacora red guts with the 718m wheels. But Alpine white or Dark Graphite metallic are also contenders and so is the black 20" wheel option since they come wrapped in non-RFT tires. Wish there was more inventory on the lot to see in person, but I will have to pull the trigger based mostly on samples/pics. What color and wheels would you gents choose?

Excellent choice! I like the darker gray tone (Nardo Gray?) With last wheels which I think are same as first set.

Appreciate the vote and sentiment - gives me confidence in my choices. My first time placing a factory order and I would prefer not to ef it up!
