Doing Euro Delivery - Need Suggestions
I'm doing Euro Delivery with a pick up date of Tuesday, June 7th. My plan is to drive from Munich through the alps into Itally, then back up through Switzerland into France and head to Nice. Then just hang out around Nice and Monaco for a few days and head home.
So whats the best way to get to Munich? Should I just fly straight there or would it be significantly cheaper to fly to another city and ride the train or something to Munich? Where should I stay the night before I pick up the car? Where should I stop/stay in Itally, France? Roads to drive on? I have no idea where to start...

Flying directly to Munich is your best option cost wise vs flying to Frankfurt for example and taking the train.
FYI - I'm shopping for flight to Munich on June 7, and the best I can get from Phoenix is around $1500. Same flight back in January was around $750, economy. I fly to Europe frequently, airfares have been going up steadily over past few years. The same flight last June was $1200.

It looks like Turkish Air has a flight leaving on 6/5 from Dulles and coming back 6/21 for $915. Lufthansa will give you a two for one coupon for Euro Delivery if you are traveling with somebody. Their cheapest flight is around $1600. Go to Kayak and make you dates flexible for the best price.
As far as info on Euro Delivery, go to bimmerfest.com and check out the Euro Delivery Wiki. It along with the forums will give you an overdose of information. I did Euro delivery a couple of years ago with my wife and our three kids. It was a fantastic time. Our route started in Munich to Salzburg to Venice to Tuscany to Luzern and ended in Paris. I didn't get to do any of the fun passes due to the kids weak stomachs and it was too early in spring so they were not open yet. Have a great trip.

My delivery is on May 16, and with Lufthansa's 2-for-1, I was quoted $2500 from lax-muc, direct. I was hoping to use my AA miles and book an AA flight through LHR and then BA from LHR-MUC, but they have extremely limited options and with the taxes and all, it's not that much cheaper. There's Air Berlin as a somewhat cheaper alternative, as well as USAir, but they're only about $100 per ticket less than LHT's 2-for-1 deal.

Go over to Bimmerfest and visit the European Delivery forum. There's a very useful Wiki and the group is very active, well-informed, experienced and helpful. Better get cracking.

I spent about six months planning my trip. Be sure to take as much time as you possibly can. The trip is going to fly by. Do the ring if you can get the 1200 mile service done while you are there.

If your going to Italy Florence is a must stop. We've been all over from the Amalfi Coast up and Florence was our favorite. Spend three days there. Chill in a piazza, several times. Eat their pizza. See the Pitti Palace. Walk and shop the Ponte Vecchio. Travel the hills outside of town. See the best that Tuscany has to offer.

Buddy. Will reply later tonight with hotel info and website.
Depending on departing city check frankfurt. We rented a car for 30 euro and enjoyed the drive to munich. It was fun and we enjoyed the scenery. More info to follow.
