Yeah man, all I know is what the dealer told me. Supposedly, he talked to the NA rep last week and he said that the DCT issue was sorted out, but it would take a few weeks for the supply to be sufficient...maybe they ramped up manufacturing of the trannys? I dunno. Just know that I got my fingers crossed that he is right and they get it worked out sooner than later. I still have to sell the GT3 though, so it aint like I would be ready for the M3 tomorrow. It will all work out...I will have it eventually, and life will be good. If thats July or August, so be it. Everything for a reason...

Checked today with BMW NA, and still slotted for next week production. Nothing new to report unfortunately ... although no suprise really, since M-DCT doesn't start until March production.

That happened to me as well. I was initially week 11, and got moved up to 10, and production actually started at week 9 (for 6MT though). They probably build some kind of slack into their schedules.

I spoke to my CA yesterday and BMW NA and I'm still scheduled for Week 10...no sooner/no later! Although two days ago I was unable to modify my order, I was able to yesterday. I basically added Sirius Satellite Radio. Here's to BMW staying on schedule.

Man I sure hope so. I can't relax until I know i'm in production. I hate having to call and bug the people at BMW NA everyday. It's getting really bad. I'm losing sleep over it. It's affecting my work. I think I need some help!

They might indeed not have the exact status code in front of them, but your dealer does. However, the reps can tell you the exact date production began if your car is in production. So you either need to speak with your dealer or a rep to determine if it's been produced. The automated voice and OC systems are off.

Dude, I aint complaining! I am actually somewhat glad it will take a few months. Gives me time to take care of some things, you know. What I would like to see is a date for delivery...something I can put on the calendar and plan for. With the supply issue, and not being able to even officially order the car is what I don't like. If I knew a date, even within a couple weeks, I would be a happy camper.
