I bought one when mFactory made their first batch but didn't get around to installing it until now. One thing I didn't see mentioned in this thread is that BMW says to replace, not reuse, all bolts connected to driveshaft. I also installed a diff with a 4.10:1 final drive - the diff to axle bolts should also be replaced (at 12 x $10 each!).
Giubo: 55 NM (41 ft lb) plus 90 degrees - 16 mm socket (Bolt: 26117527475, Nut: 26127536563) Differential drive axle: 120 NM (89 ft lb) - E-14 torx socket (33211227944) Drive shaft to differential: 40 NM (30 ft lb) plus 45 degrees - E-12 torx socket (26117526322) Differential front: 100 NM (74 ft lb) - 18 mm socket Differential rear: 165 NM (122 ft lb) - 21 mm socket

I weighed them:
22.5 lbs stock 11.9 lbs carbon fiber 10.6 lbs difference (CF shaft is 53% the weight of stock) PS stock weight does include the weight of the center/support bearing though.

Did it wear through and then snap? A little rubbing won’t hurt a stock shaft but will kill CF. Bad mounts can allow that much movement.

I wrapped mine just as an added piece of mind. I figured that since I was under there, I might as well do it and be done with it. It only took about 30 min to wrap all four areas.
That's awesome! I never though to measure my improvement. |

Think that was a fall line CF shaft.

I had the fall line CF Shaft uninstalled within 3 months after installing it. It had this vibration that would get more intense the faster you went.

I spoke to Michael @ MFactory when they first launched the product as well as after they paused production. I still want to get one but I don't think they have resumed production.
