Nice job, it was big of you to go to the extra work and then apologize so openly. Thanks for that. I totally rescind my suggestion for a ban.
However, as you know, you will simply never be able to live down the confusing an M5 for an M3. |

owner painted them blacK?
ok - I was "behind the scenes" where the public normally doesnt go without help. I was snooping in the owners private garage. my kids are in tow , hoping not to get caught. the only reason I was there was to see the brushed alum trim in a AW/Black M3. I had just crawled over the Jzb sedan and AW coupe in the showroom and both had carbon leather trim . I sneak and and go to the first white car I see and open the door. there it is, brushed alum, black leather , and OMG a SMG type shifter. I touch the paddle shifters like, is this real. I close the door and sneak out not looking back. I think I have seen an M3 with DCT.

Well, I hypothesized he mistakenly saw an M6 and thought it was the new M3 because he said "coupe" in his original thread.
We should all apologize for not realizing it was an M5 when he said he saw "M5-type wheels" and you add that with the SMG/DCT shifter...we should have known better. To the OP, thanks for clearing it all up. |

How do you confused a M5 with a M3?
Even if the M3 was a sedan...

That was big of you to apologize and hopefully others on this board will reciprocate. Good job!

True. Maybe it's time to give this guy a break. We all gave him a well-deserved hard time, but we should probably let it go now...
