Just FYI there is no such thing as a custom tune on this car.

Not sure what you mean. I have a custom Dyno tune in my 2008 M3. Everything in the tune was tweeked for how my car was performing on the Dyno. I even have a flash tool that allows me to load in the factory tune if I take it to the dealer and load in my tune after.

Mike,

Lets see if we can move forward with the number of people we have now and select a place and time? In the meantime, we can add any stragglers to the list between now and the time this is carried out. Guys put the word out.

Less do this

im contacting Bradan this week and setting it up for the weekend of 6/5-6/6....im trying to spread this over 2 days....i.e. sat and sunday...to get as many members as possible....please tell the other boards as well i.e. Porsche, m5/m6 so that I can get Mike or his associate to fly out here and do the tuning himself....

unfortunately any ecu tampering will void the warranty....however powerchip claims that their tune can not be detected by the dealership..

I think I'm gonna maintain my redline, remove the top speed governor...

Thats very good pricing IMO

Lets try to get this going my friends!

Sorry for slow response... computer problems - first bad motherboard, next bad soundcard, and now bad memory! Almost back up and running

To answer some questions: Stage I and Stage II both can bump your redline slightly and remove the top speed limiter. These two features are not specific to Stage II. I recommend leaving the redline stock, and removing the top speed limiter - but you can have any combination that you wish with both the Stage I and Stage II tunes. When you order, just let me know what your preference is so I can note it in the file when it's time for programming.

There is no power difference between the DCT and 6 Speed tunes. Those of you with DCT will experience smoother shifting, and those with 6SP it's still dependant on your left foot

Stage II has no difference to stage I except for removal of the check engine lights. There are also some optimizations we make for those with high flow cats / xpipe. I will have a list of everyones mods before we tailor each specific tune to the car - that way all of the aftermarket parts, or lack of OEM parts (cats) will be accounted for.

With regard to the warranty, I've yet to see any issue surface. Many cars tuned by us have gone to the dealer without issue. The dealer should not be able to tell the difference between a stock tune and our tune as they interact in the same way with the factory computers (GT1, ISIS, and SSS). We retain your factory file, so if there is any need to go back to stock if there is a major warranty concern, we can always flash back to stock. For those that are skeptical, I recommend leaving the revlimiter stock. I've hit over 180mph in my car and have not had the dealer mention anything out of order.

Please let me know if there are any questions I missed or if there is any further clairifcation needed. I will start Pming everyone for contact info and then we will get the ball rolling!

For those that haven't seen the dyno charts, please do a search as they are posted up in a number of places. If I manage to fix the problems with my desktop computer, I will be more than happy to post some dyno's on this thread to make it easier to find.

Thanks,
Mike Benvo
