2010 M3 Recall?

I brought in my M3 today for scheduled maintenance and the Service Adv. kept it for 3 days to "Perform Recall 28 01 10 Program Control Units." The SA didn't know what the recall was for other than to reprogram the ECU.

I've got a 2010 with DCT, EDC, Tech package.

Anyone heard of this?

See attachment, seems like a non-issue.

I had a software update done about a month ago. They said it was an "open recall". They kept the car overnight. I haven't noticed anything different, everything works the same. Should be no big deal. Although, them keeping your car for 3 days seems excessive.

Thanks for the info guys. That's awesome you can find inside info like that. The SA had no idea.

What a lame recall to lose my car for 3 days for aftermarket code readers....

I'm glad I have the 6MT

Then ... my computer readout is sort of funny ... ABS warning has been coming on and going off like a yoyo ... in the garage now getting a new rear wheel sensor hope that will do it

I hope its what also fixes my problem. For the 2nd time, the ECU failed on me on Saturday. I got failures thoughout on everything and the car wouldn't turn over. I had to watch it get loaded on a flatbed for the 2nd time in its life. Hopefully its fixed this time.
