M2 Front Bumper on E92 M3... thoughts on this?
DinMann and his pretty awesome work. Very clean quality stuff whether you agree with the look or not.
What do you guys think about this? It looks better than I imagined.

Like I've said previously: The lines of the newer generation bumpers don't flow with our E9X generation. It's obvious that the new gen cars are more angular and carry sharper lines, while our generation carries more curves. The M2 bumper, however, is somewhere in between, it has sharp folds and curved folds in its design. I think it works only because the AE's are more squared. Overall, the look is too beefy when the rest fo the car is more flowy, if that makes any sense...
As far as the fit and finish, top notch! |

That bumper looked terrible on the M2 and it doesn't look much better on the M3. To each his own, and while I certainly can appreciate the work that went into installing that, I don't like it.

Looks good fitment/paint/matching, but I'm just not a fan, sorry. However, if you're happy with it, that's all that truly matters

Reminds me of Dark Helmet for some reason. Can't put my finger on it.
I think the fit/finish is amazing. Definitely a pro job, but something doesn't feel right. The inset headlights just don't flow right, and I think it was more eloquently stated above that the angles of the new gen vs curves of the old just throw the whole thing off. If you like it, that's what's impt! I keep hearing how bad a color black is on the car lol

Good job on the fit and finish. The squared off headlights help it blend.
End of the day it is two different design philosophies - elegance vs. aggressive. I wouldn't want to mix the two. I can see how it is a unique combo though. To each his own! |

Agree on the headlight halos. It would look weird with stock round halos.

An OEM E9x bumper with a lip looks better than that!
It's an awesome looking bumper no doubt but hell no on an E9x

It looks okay to me but IMHO it reminds me of the horrible body kits people (myself included in my younger days) put on Japanese cars. Not that the quality is bad but the lines throw the look of the car off and don't flow well. you can tell it doesn't belong.
