brake wear sensor

so it had shown that my brakes are bad, i replaced it and noticed that my brake wear sensor was also torn so i replaced that too but the dash still showing up the error and it doesnt show any milage on the brakes. i wonder what causes the problem, now i have to drive with a red brake light on the whole time

You need to reset the brake warning light. Google that and follow the process. I did it recently. No special tools required.

2007 BMW 335i  [0.00]
Two fronts and one back, 3 sensors total. Chances are you replaced 1 sensor but the other has worn as well. I would replace both fronts and reset.

yea i had just noticed that there was actually 2 in the front, the bmw place told me it was only 2 on the car which was both on passenger side

That is correct for all 3 series but the M.

LOL you better find another shop. Brembo big brake kit are 6 pot front, 4 pot rear. Stock brakes are single pot floating calipers front and rear. Not only are the brembo pads much larger they aren't even the same shape as stock pads.

Top pic is Brembo front pad shape. Bottom pic is stock front pads.

Thanks for the info all pads do have a cut out on the pads area is that where the sensor is located?

Edited - Oh you're asking about the wear sensors. Yes some aftermarket pads allow you to re-use the wear sensors. But most people do not bother.
