Wife gives me shit because I only drive in bare feet since moving to FL - don't want my flip flops getting caught under the pedals...

I dislike driving with no shoes, without a base against the floor its harder to pivot. My favorite driving shoes are Onitsuka Tigers as they are thin soled with a lot of feel.

During the current heat wave here in Germany I've driven my DCT ( ) M3 barefoot couple of times. I moved the seat slightly forward to get a better pivot point and was coasting / cruising more than actually driving the car. In really crazy situation I carry not only my flip-flops but also proper shoes with me. Same appears for all my cars though, automatic or manual transmission. |

Good ol' Sperry docksiders for me
Super flexible sole. (....am paranoid of having my feet 'naked' In the car. As a drummer I'd be devastated if I injured feet in a crash, or anything else)

I drive in Skechers.
It's all I can afford after the RB swap.

Guess what everyone?? I still drive barefoot whenever possible!! I can 'feel' the clutch engaging while I select next gear...and tapping the throttle for the occasional blips and rev's is super fun! This long and very hot summer has me going and coming back from work with no shoes or socks. I keep Van's slip on shoes (checkered of course) in case I have to stop at 7-11 for Red Bull and snacks.....or like Spicoli said, 'Hey Bud Let's Party!!!' Y'all should try it - so awesome !!! Cheers, Merlin

I want a pair of these so bad but I just can't get over the douchey look lol. guess I shouldn't care how I look lol, I'm already a douche for having an M3
too bad you can't find the original speed cat anywhere these days. Definitely agree w/ whomever suggested driving shoes, aka loafers. find a good pair made of quality leather (easily under $100) and you'll never want to drive in anything else. Only thing is they're not really made for long distance walking so they do tend to wear our more quickly.
