Thanks for the pics. These are the cleanest pics of Jet Black to date on the forum I think.

Thanks Ken!!! Your car looks SWEET!!! I can't tell if you got the aluminum trim but if you did, your car looks exactly like mine will look when it gets here in April. I was debating my choice of Jet Black/Bamboo/aluminum, but after seeing your car I have no doubt that I made the right choice for me. April cannot get here fast enough!!!

oh noooooooo no black nooooooooo.... so seductive.... i can resist i can resist

unfortunately it's a extremely high-maint paint. gets dirty too quick, and it's extremely difficult to keep swirl marks off of it

IMO you won't be sorry. Basically as soon as I saw it sitting in the dealers, I had the sense that the colour combination was 100% right. The spec is standard trim inside by the way but otherwise identical to yours. The thing that I would remark on is that natural light picks up the lines of the car much better than a photo(especially if the photo was taken by me !), particularly around the lower bumpers and door sills which are far more pronounced than pics show. This was on my mind when I ordered the colour but I would reassure you that this will be no issue when you see it in the metal.

Thanks for the reassurance Ken. I really can't wait until my car gets here. I really would like to see some more pictures when you get a chance...also of the interior too

Good things about dark colour:

- Hides the overgrown powerdome and hoodvents a little.
- Hides how fussy the diffuser is to a degree.
- Makes the mirrors a little more acceptable.
- Stealthy look.

Bad things -

- Sidevents are terrible. Only AW and SSII are acceptable for it. On other colours it looks cheap/tacky. Stands out too much.
- cant tell it to be an M3 so easily. Could be M-sport with double-spoke 19s.

Are you kidding me? First, you mention the over grown power dome...then the diffuser...then the mirrors...do you even like the new look of the M3 at all? All of your positives besides the stealth look seems to degrade the look of the M3 in it's self.

Then for the bad...so far I've seen AW, JzB, SpaceG, and JetB in person...IMO JetB hides the side vent to a degree...most noticable in SpaceG and AW...if anything, more tacky in AW due to no reflections in sun light...it's just there, which to me makes it stand out more with the thought of "why the hell is there a hole there?...no shade to it what so ever. And for not telling it's an M3...craziness...the darkness of JetB I believe gives it's true wideness of the vehicle. When I saw JetB for the first time...there was no second thought of whether or not it was an M3 due to the wheel wells sticking out for miles.

jet black is weird.. it's not soft but it's soft... idk how to say it. but even if you try your best to take care of it you will end up with a shit load of swirls. you try to buff em out, they wont go away

I do:

- Wide, low stance
- front bumper
- side skirts
- wheels
- centered quads like E46
- overall dimensions

Bro I guess it's personal preference though. We see things differently
