VIR Full Course - Trackdaze August 27-28 videos

Videos from Day2 with Trackdaze at VIR Full Course
Stock E92 M3 DCT with PF-08 brake pads, ATE Blue Brake Fluid.
Hot Day

In Day 2 - Session 1, towards the end, I ran off the track. No damage at all, it was under control, just entered to the turn at wrong angle and ran out of room to brake. It reminded me that i should be concentrating every second while on track. In session 4 GoPro ran out of battery

HTL videos are coming soon (having some technical difficulties)

I used the GoPro2 with Audio Technica 3350 mic and taped the mic in the rear bumper. It even captures the squeals coming from PF-08 brake pads

Quite a bit of track footage here! Seems like there's been more vids for VIR in the last week than the last year! Looks like I picked a good time to go there, now back to the research
Car sounds great btw

Nice mic placement--sounds good. Stock exhaust?

I need to hit VIR someday--looks like such an amazing place.

By the way, who is that in the Black E90 M3 with ENORMOUS "///M" stickers on the door, seen in the paddock around 3:30-3:33 in the first video? Anyone on here?

Surprised TrackDaze isn't promoting thanking other drivers for point-by's like your instructor is doing. Looks like you had a good time!

That guy with the ///M sticker and the other dude with the performance stuff were a couple of garages down from Han's. Good people, they had just gotten back from the Nurburgring doing the performance driving school there. The white e90 was pretty fast in my group, I heard the black one was not quite so fast in C Group. Think Hans passed him, but this is the new, more confident Hans so hard to gauge. But yeah, I don't know what the deal is with all the stickers though. Looks cool at the track but I can imagine how ridiculous it would look on the street.

Yes the white E90 was definitely faster than me too. as i was trying to keep up, i made my best laps times. I realized he also lift off the gas at on the straight after oak tree after about 120 mph. still he was much faster.
I don't know what tires he was running but the engine seemed to be same. If i didn't let off the gas he wasn't able to close in on the straights but he was very quick thru turns

He was running Contisport 5Ps, great tires. I had those back in February and was able to knock out 3x 2:15 laps with them. They fell apart on me in May when it got hot and then one of them got a puncture so that was the end of that....

His engine is stock except for pulley maybe (because my instructor remembered that he had pulley issues the last time he was at the track). Everything else is stock, he did have Recaro race seats and every single Performance accessory and stickers you can imagine... LOL

Do you have any mods? You lap time made me feel like i was driving very slow. my best lap is 2:26. with brake fluid and PF-08 pads and stock PS2 tires.

hahaha, thanks. the HTL says 2:26.04 the data tag says 1:25.991. either way, i am going again. A lot of fun. I am not looking for the best time but looking for consistency. i had about 20 laps in 2 days that are in 2.26 to 2:30 range. I try to take my consistent lap times lower and narrow the band.

Copy and paste from another thread:
My mods are AA Green Filter, AA Pulley, Akrapovic EVO exhaust (no tune, Delete-R to turn off CEL), Eibach Springs w/e36 M3 bumpstops, Performance Friction BBK in front on PF01 race pads and stock in back with Stoptech pads. The tires made the biggest difference in improving my times and they were Yokahoma ADVAN AD08s 255/275 mounted on OEM ZCP wheels. I ran 2:15s with Contisport 5Ps, and 2:17s with PS2s. I had PS2s on the first session on Saturday which was why I pointed the F10 M5 by but still managed to stay relatively close except the straights of course. I switched to the AD08s after that and the M5 never got up on me again.

Your times are very good, 2:26 is not slow by any means.

I think you guys are probably close, the difference probably has to do with the transmissions.

Thanks for sharing you vids. Looks like you had a good time with Trackdaze. They run a good event. Best of luck with your continued driving at VIR.

I use the cruise cam mount. it attaches to the headrest. It did have some rattles at one point but i fixed it up with some screws from home depot.
