Bluetooth Audio without iDrive

Is it possible to stream music over Bluetooth on a car without iDrive? If so, what option(s) were necessary?

If you have an aux and usb port then you can usr Tune2Air bluetooth adapter. Not the highest in streaming quality, but you can use car controls to skip and repeat tracks.
