June update on the E92. Car has been great, got some maintenance done post FL trip. Hoping to have finally solved the "fake" 02 code that I have been getting for about a year randomly every few months. BMW NA helped my dealer with diag, they re ran the harness from the 02 sensor to the DME, it's been 500 miles and good... so fingers crossed.

Got to park up next to the Evolve P65 1m in Greenwich CT during Greenwich Concours so that was cool... here's some pics of that:

Some other pics... put my BBS RIA's back on. The car drives amazing with these light weight and wide wheels and PS4S's. Lots of bugs on the front end as well, that time of year...

When was the Greenwich concourse? I’m always at CFCF on the weekends. I usually have one of my Ms with me. Nice to meet another local on the forum.

F80 M3

Well I did a thing today... added an F80 M3 to the collection! 2016 Tanzanite Blue on Golden Brown, 6spd, carbon roof and it's in great shape! Planning to keep the E92 for some time, these cars really are insanely different from each other.

Todays mod... MPE!

Found an MPE v1 locally for "cheap" locally... so I picked it up. Took the Corsa off and swapped the MPE on. Not sure which one I like more. The Corsa has a lot more bark, but has some drone. I think I will stick with the MPE for a while.

Are you running MPE with stock mid pipe and cats? Or you on custom X pipe and catless? Why I am asking is, I have MPE fully all stock. Not impressed with sound from cabin very quite.

Yes, stock. I agree it is very quiet inside. I do like that though after having a loud exhaust for years.

MPE V1 Review

E92's been sitting for a while and finally went and drove it for a long drive to Boston for a week. I am really liking the MPE V1, at first I was not a fan of it but I have figured out the sweet spot to shift at and where to give it some gas to get some howl out of it. It sounds very exotic, the hollow howl is quite interesting. It does drone ever so slightly under throttle up hills around 2k or 3800 rom but at vastly different rpm than the corsa exhaust I had prior. (Corsa droned bad at 83mph/3200rpm. It's very interesting how the exhausts have similar sounds but at completely opposite RPM's. On the highway MPE is nice and civilized and I find under throttle and around town driving it hard it gives tons of audio in the cabin.
Overall, very happy with my MPE!

Bonus, I rode/drove with my friends Miltek valved exhaust and wow, that might just be the best axleback E9x M3 exhaust, heard a lot of corsa when open but had best of both worlds. Valved is nice, he also has a Venturi plenum so with valves closed it sounds insane up front. Sounded so much better than competitors valved exhaust (cough cough baba-tronic valvetronic).

Love reading this kind of stuff. Glad your E92 is bringing you so much joy. Hard to justify parting with these cars. Beautiful shots too!

The video didn't play, but you have me intrigued on the Milltek. Don't see thoss often. You're running an BW X-Pipe, or maybe that was somebody else? Currently have the Corsa with stock X-Pipe and had the MPE before, so agree with your assessment there. Kinda tempted to go back to the MPE, for no reason other than to just change things up. I will be running a BW X-Pipe soon, so want to do a comparison. Nothing beats the look of the MPE. Love the tips on it. Corsa is the complete opposite lol, although mine has been modified.

Just put my Eventuri Plenum on. Should have done it sooner. The difference even at low RPM is insane. Totally worth the cost. Just hope it doesn't get drowned out when swapping out the factory X-Pipe...

Very hard to justify parting with this car, I got my F80 back in July and have barely driven the E92 since then but every time I drive it I'm reminded how awesome it it.
I have stock X pipe, I loved the corsa and I think its a better sound overall than the MPE but the MPE is better for my current use case and I enjoyed 30k miles of the Corsa so the switch is just nice. BW X pipe with corsa is gonna sound amazing probably!! Yeah I really want an eVenturi plenum, the nice part of the miltek is closing the valves and getting all eVenturi intake. I think the Miltek came out relatively recently and my friend works with them, it sounds amazing and has me really debating it. Also way higher build quality than other valved options lol
