Glue to Attach Rubber to Trim

Does anyone know what glue to use to keep the rubber pieces in place on my roof molding trims? Most likely something that holds on to clear coat if that matters. I had my roof molding trims repainted, but my painter removed the rubber pieces to paint them. He did not put it back on correctly and the rubber pieces now slide easily. Since I know the clips will break, I'll fix it myself. The roof moldings I am talking about is #3 in the diagram

Having recently swapped door trims, I have to say if they weren't removed correctly they'll never be the same. Maybe glue can work but I'd just replace em. Are they pricey new?

They were $73 per side when the car was still new, but the cheapest I found per side is $400 and that they only come in primer.
I found this, but never used it before and not sure if there is a specific type or a recommended type of glue to use on rubber and fresh paint.

I recently used the 3M product you mentioned/pictured above on the lower rubber trim piece on the back window, worked great. Saw it recommended somewhere on this forum and ordered it up.
