Best sounding exhaust period.

Heard it 1000 times, but it never gets old.

^ I think he is saying he likes the sound of V10's. I prefer one over the V12's. (other than the viper)

I think V8s sound better in general, but I will say that the 599GTO's V12 is pure audible sex. I have a serious love for cars that have booming exhausts mated to gearboxes that deliver gunshot downshifts (SLS AMG's downshifts are godlike) and the GTO's is possibly the best of the best.

In general though, I tend to prefer this hierarchy: V10 > V8 > V12

I never get tired of these threads because they are usually filled with so much awesome

My favorites are the CGT, Zonda and SLS. But there are a lot out there that also sound incredible. That, and the note of my little Bimmer

Here are some you guys might enjoy.

CGT, 599 GTO, Zonda F Roadster, Challenge Stradale, Porsche 930 (with upgraded turbo... but even then it's the sound of it spooling that gets me) in no particular order. Still... the king in my book is the Ferrari 412T2 without question.

I totally agree with all the V12s and the CGT. I'm throwing this one in here for some 6-cylinder love! This car sounds so sweet.

Gotta give some love to the Kreissieg Contach too! BADASS sound.

Two of the best sounding supercars ever. Pure F1 racing derived V10s like f'king symphony.

Porsche Carrera GT with straight pipes (no mufflers) at 8400 rpms:

Lexus LFA at full boil of 9500 rpm

fwiw, these are the current cans I have on my 993. No supercar, but not bad sounding for an aircooled boxer-6 motor.

Or the sound of 1500-1600hp. That car also ran about 255mph in one mile. Just for kicks on top gear the Bugatti Veyron took nearly 3 miles to hit its top speed... The Ford GT....Asthma? I think not.
