why doesn't my M3 have "that" look?

Hey all - odd question, I know...but I just feel like my car doesn't have the low "bulldog look". (see the "attached" pic.) You guys know what I'm talking about. Is it the 18's? The offset (i.e. needs spacers)? Is it the front wheel well gap? Maybe I need a lip/splitters up front lol? I've always loved the OEM look but lately, I find myself wanting a bit more of an aggressive look. Looking at the modified e90 thread too much I guess. Thoughts?

Could just be the angle, here's a better pic

Not being a douche, what are you even talking about? if you want a certain lowered/bugly fender there are spacers and tire sizes for that.

Sorry, not sure what a "bugly" fender means (I think you meant bulging but not sure). Yes, I'm talking about that "low/wide" look. My car looks like a stock ride height 328 lol. I guess it's really all about the ride height. Well...time to fix that.

Yep you're right. I've done some digging since I made the initial post. I thought I'd seen stock ride height cars look pretty aggressive but most of the ones I've seen are at least ZCP height and along w/ the 19's, they look way more aggressive. Non-ZCP cars w/ the 219's like my car has just don't look as "tough".

Eibach springs and 15/12 spacers seem to be what you’re after.

lower it a little bit, add a little camber, add 10mm spacers in all four corners.

all of that is not ideal, in my opinion, but its a good recipe for a cool looking car.

Car looks very handsome as is. But I get what you mean - my car is at stock ride height also and I sometimes wish it were just a pinch lower.

That said, 19s always make the car look lower/more aggressive all else equal... especially true at stock ride height.

It would look more "bulldog" if it wasn't a saloon and if you had 19" wheels.

Just something about 4 doors doesn't make the car look sporty...especially since the saloon is taller than the others.

Yah, he should sell it for that super sporty, bulldog looking E93 model.

I'd say sedans have more of that look because of the short trunk and wider rear fenders, big part of why I like the look of the e90 better.

As others have said it wont take much, just drop it a bit and space the wheels out, how far you take it is up to you.

Sounds like you know what you need to do lol. No way around it. I'll split the shipping with you and don't forget, Alex said he will code them to the car for free. If he doesn't, I'll pay his fee to do it.

I wouldn't mind my car looking a bit lower, but I don't think I'm prepared for the practicality trade off.

Hey man I can get what you saying. Your car is in no way ugly but when looking at the pics. It needs that slight flare.

If you want to keep the 18s go for a more meatier look; lower it and add 15mm spacers up front and 12mm in the rear.(I think the e90 can fit even wider spacers).

Ride height of 10mm makes a world of difference on these cars.

is the aspect ratio on your tires OEM? that can have an impact on the look of the gap as well.
