I bought a Better Beamer flash attachment and tried it out this afternoon. Works pretty well once you get the settings right. I've read in several places this is not harmful to birds or other critters, but I'd like to find authoritative assurance that it's not. Anyone else use one?

This guy ended up with some serious catch light. This is what has me worried.

Went out to one of our regional parks on Easter...caught this northern harrier coming in for a landing.

No, I would love to be able to get some more owls! I know there is one that flys in my neighborhood, but it's only heard, not seen.

Yeah, there is one around here too. I saw it on the pole once but I don't have a flash. I was looking for the Burrowing owls.

I used to bake...a lot. I picked it up after my accident kept me at home for over a year without much to do. But now I am "pre" diabetic, so I have to watch the carbs. But I still like looking at some of my older work! This was shot with my old point and shoot canon powershot. Raspberries, olallieberries (a west coast thing), and rhubarb (you can also see my self portrait in the tea kettle).

^^^Great shot, Dave. How'd you get high enough for that?

And nice shots lately, Denn. I like your evening/nightime stuff.
