Any good third party warranties?

Looking at getting my GF a 2013 convertible m3 this weekend. It only has 28k miles and it's dct. I was thinking of getting a third party warranty as I know repairs can be costly. Especially with the rod bearings and vanos.

Anyone had experience with third party warranties and any recommendations?

Also, anything I should look out for? I had a 2008 m3 sedan but it's been a while and I had no issues.

been looking for one as well.

shopped around for a bit and found that almost no one wants to cover our cars... endurance, carshield, protect my car, gwc, easy care, autopom...i mean i get it. concord auto protect quoted me 4k for 4 years. might be better to open up a piggy bank

I've had repeated positive experiences with Fidelity Warranty services. There is a dealer in VA that was selling these at cost a few years back (can buy from VA even if you live in a diff state, I live in CA).

It does look like Fidelity May have changed their coverages a bit, but check them out. They've approved several claims for me without issue including AC Evap ($4k+ job)

Funny thing adding as data point. I took my M3 to BMW dealer once. They sent me email about their (Autonation) aftermarket warranty every so often. Never bothered to talk to them.

I ended up going with a Carmax m3. Warranty till 125k miles, 5 years and it was only 5300$ with a 150$ deductible.

Which m3 did you buy? Many miles? I just got one from them about a month back. Paid $4000 for 5 year 125k mile warranty...

I've got the carMax one, pretty solid as long as it's not maintenance stuff, they'll cover it. Last bill they forked over 5k. I took my car to the dealership got a big fat bill n they just sent it to Carmax , worked out pretty smooth. I'm probably going to extend it after the 75k mark if they offer it.

It's a 2013 with 51k miles. I think the mileage and year affect warranty prices.

Did you ever have to get vanos done or rod bearings?

The BMW rep said they would cover it, but only if they failed. No preventative, makes sense.
