OEM 1x1 Carbon fiber Question

I just bought a center console in OEM Carbon fiber

I was wondering if the OEM CF has a slightly yellow/golden tint as compared to ebay carbon fiber

I compared it to my ebay CF spoiler and it definitly doesnt seem as dark black

is it just because im comparing 1x1 weave to 2x2? or did I buy a bad piece?

let me know, I have limited time to get my money back from the seller

thanks !!

Are you sure you have a 1x1 weave? Because my OEM Center Console is 2x2.

The yellowish tint is a clear coat issue, and OEM CF usually doesn't have any yellowing. It might have been a piece that passed QC, but wasn't top quality; some Vorsteiner parts suffer the same problem. The OEM CF from the E46 M3 CSL is the only OEM CF parts that were produced in a 1x1 plain weave (..other than the CF roof). The F8X ///M trim components are clear coated 2x2 twill, as are the parts pictured on the IND link for the E9X. The F3X interior trim components are available in raw 2x2 twill as well.

Actually the pattern looks very similar to that, its gotta be a 2x2

do you think bmw would replace the part since the clear is yellowing? its a 2011 still under service and warranty. It didn't come with the car...but I wouldn't tell them that lol
