Euro amber tail lights

Question for those who have the euro tails with the amber turn signals. I have recently purchased a set but after installing the left (driver's side) tail and turning on the hazards it was clear that the new tail was blinking in red just like the stock right side tail. I then removed the new tail and but the stock tail back in. The company I purchased them from is being very helpful in researching whether I was sent the wrong set but the labels on the boxes clearly euro amber tails but I wanted to confirm something...

I'm pretty sure of the answer but want to confirm, these tail lights do not contain two sets of bulbs so that the hazards blink red but the turn signal blinks amber. Is that correct?

That is correct. The euro tail lights have amber LEDs *instead* of red LEDs. They should never blink red. In europe it's required that all tail lights blink amber (hazards or otherwise) so they definitely just sent you the wrong set by accident. Hope this works out for you!

At this point it is clear the vendor has sent me the wrong tail lights. They are a forum sponsor and I've bought things from them before. They are being proactive in resolving the issue so far so I'm not identifying them as it appears to be a simple mistake. If not resolved satisfactorily I may identify the vendor...

Thanks Terry, pretty clear I got the wrong tails as the new ones are red. Working with the vendor to correct...

OK, tails returned for a full refund. Vendor handled the issue professionally and have no complaints on that front! Now they say they are unable to source the amber/euro tails... Guess I need to who around with some other vendors. Has anyone recently received the amber/euro tails? If so, can you PM me your source...

I got mine through iND, no problems whatsoever

I know EAS and Alekshop also carry Euro tails for E9X M3's ...

ECS is a source as well.

That is who I ordered from! To their credit they were very responsive in handling the issue...

I'll try IND, EAS etc... They all show on their websites that delivery is something like three weeks as the parts must be sourced from BMW Europe. But that is what ECS said as well and now they say they can't get them.

The LEDs are amber on the euro taillights. Also, the red cover that is over the amber is a ligher shade of red (almost pink) so the amber comes through. The American ones are fully red. You'll notice this detail if you look closely at the red color on the taillights.

Right, I understand that. I ordered the amber tails but received the fully red American tails, that was the issue... I installed one tail and turned on the blinker, discovering they were red, not amber.

Bummer, I got mine originally from ECS a few years ago.

No, I think you're fine OP ... Andrew@IND hooked me up with Euro tails for my E93 M3 approx 4-5 months ago ... IND has a German contact who's REALLY good at fetching OEM Euro parts!!

I hope so but recall that E90 production stopped long before E92 and E93 production. But if they are still available I have no doubt Nate and Andrew will find them...
