Has anyone been able to get a Sparco Evo QRT XL to fit in their e92? I'm struggling to get everything to line up without hitting the tunnel or door card. The EAS guys have told me they've had issues too.

I'm 6'4" with a pretty long torso (33" inseam), so I'm pretty limited on seats that will work with a harness. I'm open to other seats if anyone has any recommendations too.

I was at EAS today and they said October is when they're expecting the updated Profi SPG's.

It sounds like replacements will be available later in the year.
Here's the PDF I've seen shared in a few places the past few days:

Would be good if I was 5’6 or so, but being 6’1, it’s not letting go back enough.

I’ll be selling the sliders and BK mounts If anyone wants….

Really surprising, I'm 6'3" and my setup with Cobra Nogaros goes back farther than I would drive at, wonder if differences between the seat attachment points are affecting your setup, what seats are you running?

I need like another 2 inches to go back and I’m only sitting a hair lower than Oem seats …

Running SPG xL… ran these in my e46 with Oem sliders and they were perfect…
I’m stumped here…

In case this might help, the first two photos are with my seat in the driving position and the second two are all the way back.

I am indeed except I am using Nogaro specific BK mounts (some slight adjustments specific to Nogaros).

A few things I would do, run through this thread to see if any other information that would help:
BK harness and seat mounts plus carrying wheels to the track

Call BK and explain the issue, see if they have any advice.

Then we also have a resident expert Obioban, perhaps he can offer some advice.

Sorry for your troubles but hopefully there is a fix.

Another thought, are the slides specific to a side, ie. left vs right? any chance you have them on the opposite sides? Sorry I don't remember the answer.

I’m using the original driver side and I know it because I still have the original
I3 seatbelt rec. on there.. I assume it would work w the e92 buckle.

From what I can see by the pictures, yours goes probably another 2-3inches further which is what I need, mine simply don’t have that travel….

Thanks for your help here, this is definitely super annoying

Anyone have insight into Race Tech 4100 seats and fitment?

The Recaro Profi XL fit me perfectly, but I can't find it in stock anywhere, it was recalled by the FIA and not available until early November. I reached out to ten different shops over the weekend and got the same answer, currently out of stock.

I'm having my cage built on 9/26 and need to source seats before then.

My cage builder distributes for Race Tech, but doesn't have any of the seats in stock, he has a customer coming in with a 4119 W&T this Friday, so I'm hoping that fits. I called Race Tech and they said the W&T might run a touch large for me if I'm not wearing a suit. The W&T was still their recommendation. Based on my height and weight, I sit somewhere between their sizing charts.

I'm 6'0" 200lbs.

Is it really ever your seat if you weren't the first to fart in it?

Tried out the RaceTech 4119 in W&T. Fit awesome. Going to run the RaceTech 4100 with a small cushion and it should be perfect.

TCD will use racetech side brackets and build custom seat mounts.

Posting my experience, maybe someone can help and a warning to others

I was using the direct to floor mounts from BK on my sparco DTM seat, wide version R-9260 a bit of fiddle but I got it installed, transformed the car.

Recently some spg xl’s came up locally so I snapped them up and bought a pair of the narrow mounts R-9262 so I could mix them with the wide ones I already had and benefit from the central position.

Installing the spg xl is not easy. They sit lower than the sparco seats and even on the highest setting, getting the stock bolts torqued down is virtually impossible at the back, there is no room to get a tool on there and tighten them up. The alternate route of bolting the mounts to the floor then fixing the seat to the mount is very tricky indeed as they sit very close to the trans tunnel and the is no room…
Does anyone know of a bolt with a low profile head that can replace this stock one 07149156953?
Something you can use a simple spanner on…

All the best,
Steve

the rear mounting bolts on my sparco evo XL's was a fun time as well. the bottom of the seat is about 1/2" above the bolts... so you have to tighten just enough so you can adjust the mounts to mount the seat to the mounts, and then use and open ended wrench to torque the hex bolts down. like stated, oem bolts won't work because you can't get a torx bit on it.
tightening the inboard rear bolt is a real treat as well.
