Calabogie Track Day!!! - September 22-23
Alright, it's time to start thinking Calabogie again. September 22-23 is a Saturday and Sunday, where CMP will be running the full track both days. It's also a weekend open to Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced groups. We've got the same basic rate as last time, depending on the number of people who can come out. Orientation is $50+ HST and mandatory for anyone who has not been to Calabogie before, regardless of skill level.
5-9 people: $350/day + HST 10 +: $300/day + HST. Please add your name to the thread if you're interested. Also, please make note if you need orientation and/or if you would like an instructor for the day. Gearhead999s has promised to come this time. In fact I'm pretty sure he promised to let me shakedown the XJ220 at the track if he ends up bailing like last time. Last edited by sawzall; 08-15-2012 at 04:30 PM.. |

Sounds good - should be in for this! Duncan will attend depending on how his wife reacts when he tells her a day or two before, unless he decides to grow a pair and ask her for clearance in advance..... |

Calabogie
I am in. Just bought wheels / tires and brakes will be upgraded slightly.
Looking forward to getting out and meeting all you guys! I have been to Calabogie, but some limited instruction may be helpful, as it has been a couple of years. |

"Business travel" is a code for what I need to do to pay for my European deliveries for next few years, so it's a good reason too :-). I will know for sure if I can make it within a week or so.

Awesome! Looks like we've got around 10 confirmed with a couple tentatives, and a good mix of cars. We'll have to warn the gas station at Calabogie; with this many M cars we'll drain the gas station dry by lunch time on the first day! :
And where are all our Quebec friends!? You folks need to come down as well! |

I'm here. I am going this Friday with Viperclub.
As for your dates. The cost you posted is for each day, right? How much track time do we get? CMP-Days are usually expensive... but with a group buy like the shizzle set-up, costs come down. |

Yes per day.Usually we end up with 2-2 1/2 hours per day with 3 groups. If there ends up with 2 groups 3 + hours.I have never complained about a lack of track time at a CMP event. We need more slow moving targets in the fast group so you guys should attend for our benefit

CMP runs 25 minute sessions, and each group gets 7 sessions in a day (http://cmplapsep22.eventbrite.com/), which is 175 minutes - close to 3 hours of track time per day. And as Gearhead999s mentioned, it's not uncommon for most of the beginners to clear out before the end of the day which usually gives the rest of us even more time. |
