Sounds a bit snappy like my car does. You should be really happy with the results!

Did you restuff it before bringing it to the welder?

Well if it is anything like yours, I'll be very happy. Of course, you have the flexibility and coolness that mine will never have.

I did re-stuff the chambers. Actually, in my last video, the chambers are already packed.

I bet it would gain a couple HP at least. More if you swapped the perforated pipe with a sealed one.

I think Im gonna do the same thig, but cut the preforated pipe out completely and replace it with a new, non-pref. piece.

Nice work by the way... so the big question, any drone???? and compared to stock, on a scale of 1-10 (1 being stock) how much louder?

He doesnt know about drone yet - didnt drive with it as pictured yet. Its at the welder now I think. I think it may have droned if he left the packing out (which would have created a large airspace void), but I really doubt it will with the packing replaced.

Its like Christmas when you first turn it on after you get it back on Perio. Have fun with that! And there better be good in/out running videos or....

I was thinking that it would be neat to have a manual slider that would uncover the perforations.. Imagine a sleeve that you could pop over the pipe, then reconnect again with a couple screws. It would be allowed to slide and have a lever protruding outside of the exhaust that would simply let you slide it back and forth, maybe with a set screw to hold its place.. let me photoshop something quick.

What about this.. would require a couple small holes in the back of the exhaust. You could cover the smaller sections, as pictured, or maybe part of the larger ones if there is room. Challenging parts would be making sure the packing wouldnt interfere over time and finding some way to lightly seal the sliding sleeve on both ends so there is little leaking when its closed. not as slick as my electronic valves (if I may say so! ) but I bet it would work!

Replacing the pipe is a great thing but you will probably have to cut open both side of the exhaust (top and bottom) to be able to get to everything.

No idea on drone yet. I am having the system welded and will then do some road testing.

I am not sure that would work. First getting around all the absorption material would make it difficult to slide back and forth. Plus to make it tight enough to seal the holes and still be able to slide might also be an issue.

Also, your diagram only shows the covering for the smaller holes, which are the ones I left open. You'd need to close the pipes that have more perforations and those holes go the entire length of the pipe within the chamber so it wouldn't work there.

Ya, I already said that! I think you could engineer around both problems without too much trouble though. I drew it on the smaller holes, which I still think would make a noticeable difference to noise, but you could do it on the larger holes as well - possibly with a dual layered sleeve if there was not enough sliding room. Hey, If it was easy, everyone would do it, right? I was just throwing an idea out there. I know it would work.

When will your welding be done btw?

Bad news. My welder ran out of SS wire to do the welding. It won't be done until next week.
