So far Tonka is the only one to give any sort of real advice. I agree with his analysis of doctors, lawyers and engineers.

What you should look for is someone who has the same interests that you have outside of work. eg. if you like cycling, join a bike club and go on group rides so you meet people that do what you like to do. The same can be done for just about any activity you can think of. Photography, climbing, birding etc. Go where the people are that enjoy the same things you do.

There was an other bloke too who basically said the same thing as tonka.

I agree with you all, but I think the cat solution is better for the next ten years.maybe the world changes enough in that time that dating will not drive people insane anymore.

Dunno, the issue mainly is that she isn't reaching for the stars I think.

You sound bitter. I've seen plenty of amazing women settle for men that are nowhere near perfect and don't meet a checklist. It is about some compromise but I don't believe in settling.

Meh, he was just being a guy. If we don't include sara here, I've never known a female with an actual checklist. Some have some general ideas for what they need.

It's ok. The guys around here are disrespectful enough. Women should be cool with each other.


Everyone has an idea of what they would want. Nothing wrong with that. Some stuff can be ridiculous like height requirements and such.
