If you look a lot on the for sale forums Harrop's are really hard to come by while the other kits are a dime a dozen. I think that means something

Mine is currently being put on, adding all the do88 cooling goodies as well. Sooo stoked for this!

Just got my car up and running last night, it's so great! How many lbs of boost should it be again? I've read through the 34 pages a while back, I may have to spend some time doing it again to see what other experiences people are having. All in all great thus far!

At sea-level, around 6.5 PSI

At my elevation (4300 ft), I see 3.3 PSI

Measured from the port on the side of the Harrop blower.

Who has the most mileage on one of these kits so far? What was the amount? The kit has been out for a little while now.

I really want this kit, but I really want to know what will be the story with long term main bearing wear before I jump in. Not necessarily a s65 issue; it's a concern of any engine when adding a belt driven supercharger. Curious how things have gone so far.

I don't intend on ever selling this car. New or reman engines are extremely expensive for this car, so it's something I'd want to have proper expectations of for engine life.

I've had the kit for 18K miles now since Fall 2017 now with 58k odo.
Maybe 16 track days on it too.
No issues to bring up but if you want to know about main bearing wear I dont think anyone can answer that for you

Drwankel:

Ive had mine on since Sept of 2016 at 59k miles (ignore the 61k on the report its incorrect). Im now at 77k. Blackstone done on every oil change. I think the reports speak for themselves, but to sum it up no additional or unusual wear patterns have emerged. No issues with the car at all with the SC on it.

I do think if you have been running blackstone is helps you understand main bearing wear. 08 is still lead so since I changed my rod bearings to the new tin ones, higher lead would be a sign of main bearing wear. In a 12, look for tin and aluminum spikes. Its only as good as the trends over time however so if you had a ton of wear early on, and stressed it with the SC, it could end poorly. On the other hand cars blow up all the time with no SC installed. You have a 6 year old car. The depreciation has already happened. Id say go for it and bring new life to the car. You wont regret it.

Never intended to supercharge this car myself, but after the Harrop hit it was game over. I've had this car since 2008, the first week it hit The United States (2007 build). Never plan on selling it either. Have had F8x M3 and M4, 3 F10 M5s, but this car will never be sold. It's a keeper forever. I will probably change the rod bearings after I have about 20k miles supercharged. Haven't heard of any instances of main bearing wear issues on Harrop equipped S65s.
