08 E92 or 04 996?
How many would do the switch? A friend of mine is considering getting rid of his E92 and getting a 996 TT with the X50 upgraded turbo package and ceramic breaks. Three of our friends are Porsche purists (two own 993 TT's and the other one has a 964), and they are telling him to keep his ///M for the following reasons:
1. 996 , even though it's a TT, is the Carrera that's considered the ugly stepchild of the 911's. The 7 year old car he is considering lost over $100K in that 7 years. 2. The ///M is definitely the first and may be the only V8 ///M3. It's a collector's piece waiting to happen. What are you thoughts on this? Keep it or get a 996 TT? Shouldn't this be a no brainer?
