Im guessing it has something to do with this. I had limp mode issues when I installed software. Maybe just need an update or adjust a few things. Not sure on a jb3 though.

no wonder you got limp mode. you don't have the supporting mods. only DCI. stick to Map 3 for now until you get at least DP's and/or FMIC. What octane gas are you using.... 91? 93?

Also get BT tool and check error codes.

And don't worry, I don't think there's anyone on this forum who's never had a Limp Mode come up at least once in their modding careers. I've had A LOT with all my experimentations

I am running sunoco 94 octane. I think i will order the BT scanning tool though just so i can be safe and see what error codes the car gives if it does. I think my next mod will be the FMIC any good ones in mind?

Used to get those 2-3 times a week... than i got the AFE intake and Exhaust... all went away.??

i run sunoco 94 when in Toronto... seems to run fine for me... but other posts are right.. you need the supporting mods.. especially in this heat.. FMIC first, better intake that doesn't suck HOT HOT HOT air in all the time. Next DP's. and buy a bottle of that NOS racing octane enhancer...

1/2 engine sign is engine malfunction light -- reduced power --

call your dealer and get it in ASAP...

Would the code store now that the light is off? BMW is a big rip. They will say well its working fine now so i would bother with anything. Plus if they scan it and find the JB3 in there im screwed no?

It's a check engine light. Scan the car with a BT and from the codes and freeze frame data you can determine the next step (to dealer it, if its mod related, etc).
