I noticed I posted "speed" instead of RPM "engine speed" duh!

Thanks Robert, but there's a few incorrect descriptions in your entries.

1. 563whp was on 91 ONLY
2. I was running HFC's in ALL of these new dyno's, so it would be an apples to apples comparison with my baseline.

I will go back eventually with a full catless exhaust and MS109 race fuel, to see where I stand.

I think what you're trying to tell me is that the 563 run was 91 only, and the 57x run was 91+water/meth...right? That's the problem, I just don't have a category in the DynoDB for water/meth. I can add one, but it will take some time because of the programming involved. So if I added a water/meth category to the DynoDB...wouldn't I also need to know what percentage is being used?

What about the cross pipe? Did you switch back to the Fabspeed cross pipe?
I thought after the leaded gas fiasco, you were banned from anything other than 91 or below octane??

Thanks Robert. I sold the Encore Xpipe with HFC's, this was with the Gintani xpipe and 300 CEL HFC's.

My WM setup does not change AFR's, it is not an octane booster per se, but rather another "cooling" aid, and helps curtail possible heat soak, which is why I believe the car performs very consistently on the road, track and dyno, in back to back runs. The amount injected is not comparable to what some cars use as additional fuel or octane booster to run more boost/timing, i.e. the HPF E46 M3's, the boost was not raised 91 vs. WM on my setup. So I'm not sure what formula you use, this was the main reason I did a few dyno's on 91, so there would be no speculation about the WM.

Now, how about my question about the water/meth? Any ideas what I should do about that in the DynoDB?
Thanks! I edited/added the WM to my above post.

I don't mind adding it to the DynoDB -- but I don't know anything about it and need some guidance on what I should implement. If it were added, I would think a percentage of WM would be the way to measure it -- but I really have no idea. That's why I'm asking.
I think it's a good question, I have no idea how you would factor that in accurately.

I just picked up my "EZ Flash" Map switcher from Gintani today! I can now go back and forth between two different tunes, simply by plugging it into the OBII port, truly groundbreaking stuff!

1. 91+meth tune
2. Race gas+meth tune.

I believe this is the first map switcher of it's kind for BMW's, I can also data log, personally I have been waiting for something like this for a long time!

I also had some colder spark plugs installed at Gintani, upon inspecting the stock plugs which have around 5K FI miles on them, they were in perfect condition. Special thanks to JJ at Gintani for his hard work!

I saw the flasher yesterday and the name suits it well; from teh short demo I got this thing looks really easy to use.

This is ground breaking stuff!

Data logging is definitely cool. Of course, the BT Tool can data log anything coming out of the DME (approximately 200 different items). How many different items can be selected for data logging from EZ-Flash? What is the sampling rate of the data logger? Is the sampling rate adjustable? What's the maximum number of simultaneous channels you can log at a single time?

Can you describe the process where you "switch maps" by plugging into the OBDII port? Must it stay plugged in while you used the "map switching" part of it? Does this device fake the DME, or does it reflash and then get unplugged?
It is a brand new product that is most likely why it's not up yet, my device is one of the 1st BMW prototype switchers, there's more info on other forums, I don't believe we are allowed to link them here so I'm not going to.

Good questions, I am not sure how many items it will log, my guess is all of the important one's. The main function for me is the map switching. The process isn't much different than how the GIAC flash tool works, you simply plug in the tool, and choose which file you want, then unplug it.
