Reputable Indy Shops in Denver?

Now that I'm out of warranty what places offer reasonable (if there such a thing on an M3) and quality service in Denver?

Thanks! That looks more like a speed shop though. I'm looking for more of a tried and true mechanic shop. Someplace with master BMW certified techs

You might look at Bimmer Haus in Broomfield. Yes, they race, but a large part of their business is taking care of street Bimmers.

Hi everyone,

I just recently got a LMB 2013 E93, 6MT and I'm looking for a good mechanic in the SE Denver area (I live in Castle Rock). I figured I'd add to this thread instead of starting a new one even though it's a bit old...

I have a friend (fellow M3 owner) who highly recommended Yanzito Imports in Parker.

http://www.yanzitoimports.com

Does anyone have any experience with these guys? Any other non-dealership recommendations near Castle Rock?

Thanks guys.

I like Absolute Motor Works in Englewood. Dan and his techs are top notch mechanics, the "absolute" best in my opinion. I like that they are using both the Autologic with the MOST Fiber Optics connectors but also the real BMW programming tools with full subscription to BMW servers and full BMW support, similar to PUMA cases that BMW dealers use. These are must have tools in order to correctly diagnose, code, program and repair newer BMWs. I take all my cars to him for years now, send them referrals and they all have been properly diagnosed and repaired.

I can assure you that Puma/tech support does not support the aftermarket shops. You can always purchase a subscription to the information found in TIS and ISTA/P for programming and fault code research, but not the support. That is all strictly in house and confidential information.

Congrats on your purchase. Curious, if it's a 13', isn't it still under warranty? Just my 2 cents, but with a new S65 engine running about 25k, I consider taking my car to the dealership a reasonable insurance policy. Indie shops aren't that much cheaper and have less experience with the S65 motor/E9X chassis. I gladly pay a small premium for robust experience. As the car ages I see more utility in Indie shops (perhaps the E46, E36 ect...) due to lack of warranty driving up indie shop exposure to such vehicles. Best of luck with your decision

It does have factory warranty remaining (which I'll take advantage of). I'm just doing research now to avoid having to make this decision under duress, i.e. during a mechanical failure while there's a flat bed operator staring at me asking me where to take it.

Thanks for the info guys.

It's not in denver, but in broomfield.. I have always like autosport werks. They took care of my 335 when i was out of warranty, and were always very honest, responsive, and did great work. They know their shit.

I've taken my vehicles to 303-Motorsports in Wheatridge and it has been a pleasant experience. They were easy to work with (it was a warranty claim) and provided a loaner. They are on the high-end for labor ($170hr?) but it was not a concern since my warranty covered it.

I stand corrected then. I know the shop communicates with BMW as they were able to get my VO directly from BMW due to a failed CAS.
