Is there anyway to fix this

My car was recently scraped in the front bummer when bottoming out on a driveway and scratched the plastic in the front drivers side. Is there anyway to fix this or at least make it less noticeable? I am super bummed and I am hoping it is possible to fix.

Here is a picture of it.photo hosting

clean the area as much as possible and re-assess damage. Probably the least expensive would be to get a touch-up pen/ paint

Ok, cool...I will try that. I have seen posts about heat guns, etc. but I dont want to make it worse.

There isn't a dent or anything is there? It's kind of hard to tell with the lighting, plus the swirling reflection makes it hard to see if it is dented or not.

I've never heard of the use of heat gun for paint transfer/ scrapes.

Try looking on YouTube for : Dr. Colorchip Squeegee. I think that would be the best and easiest application for ya

Dr.color chip is snake oil I would stay far away from it. The best thing for that is probably to have it resprayed.

I see what you mean...no, there is no dent, just the scrape into the plastic on the bumper. It was a curb so it is not like it will "buff out"...so not sure what to do.

Lol why would you say that, have you used it (properly) before? And a whole respray for that small section of the bumper at the bottom? What are you crazy?

clean area, prep area, touch up area. You're obviously not going to get a perfect fix, but at least you can cover up and more importantly protect the imperfection.

I have used Dr.color chip "properly" before and it does match paint color well. But it will not lay even with the paint. I would not buy it again.

You wouldn't have to respray the whole bumper but you would have to respray quite a bit of it to make it blend correctly.

To make it lie even with the paint, multiple passes of the paint is required before wiping away the sealing agent. Cost-wise: sub-$100 vs (cost of respray, even partial)?

I'm only suggesting that it's worth a try before you go for something more costly. In the end OP, you've got deep pockets, right?
