Considering trading in the 335i for a ZCP M3

Another what would you do post...

Ive got a sweet 335i coupe. M-sport, Performance Exhaust, Power Pack, Le mans blue. I have enjoyed it thoroughly for the last year.
Lately I have had the e46 bug. I like them, and they are not getting any younger. I also want a car that handles a bit better and has some more character. An e92 M is still out of my price point.
Anyways, I found this awesome 06 ZCP interlagos M3 with Rogue exhaust, black grills/gills with 50k miles and might jump on it. It is at the same dealer that I bought my 335i from last feb.
Both are 6MT, both are tastefully modded, both are <60k miles. I would have to pony up a few extra grand to get the M3 here.

Decisions decisions.
I would like to know what you all think about this.

comparison.

If you're ready to take on the ownership of an aging car then go ahead. Miles really mean nothing on M3's, maintenance is what counts.

The ZCP looks nice, but drive a couple local to you before you pull the trigger. Also the interior will be dated compared to an E90 interior, so be aware.

That price point is pretty high for an E46. Plus if you have to add significant money to get the car, might as well shop and try to find an 08 e92m.

Just look at the e46 hard to say no but do it if it's financially doable for yourself

I absolutely adore the way the E46 M3 looks, but the maintenance on it just scared me away. Yea it can be argued that you can do the VANOS fix, and subframe reinforcement ect... but at that point, I just started looking at an E92 M3 instead.

ok so I drove a 40k mi e46m conv today. man I was blown away by the engine and transmission! I loved the sound of it, and the way it pulled to redline was great. the 6mt was so smooth. did not get to experience handling but could feel the chassis was planted.
now I have a tough decision to make. and that op m3 is gone so have to find another

They also want 1 of your kidneys for them. EAG is the biggest scam.
