Lol this thing has been sitting at prestige BMW for a while. When I was there looking at an m3, the sales rep told me it was the owners personal car? Now for sale? Idk...

Unfortunately this is a $74,000 car.
A new car AND last generation already. You aren't going to get anywhere near $120k. He should be lucky to get back $74,000 regardless of mods. This is known and I sold a car with $30k in parts/mods and got nothing for those when I sold the car 7 years ago. I could have parted out but didnt. Car new: $36,000 Mods: $30,000 Sold the car for $29,000, 5 years later. Same car today, value $8900. You do the math.

Because N/A is better. I'd take a stroked S65 over any Supercharged one any day of the week. I don't care if the S/C produces double the HP.

Man, I seriously respect your opinion, but is the intercooled SC that bad? I know you've been advocating against it since it didnt seem to add much for you at the track. Is it the weight? As for the car posted, I think it is a tastefully modded "edition". The price is fair. Athough if I had 120 Gs to drop on the new car, I'd pony up a few extra and got myself a new GT3. Just saying |

This isn't the age when a blower is going to destroy an engine and require a rebuild at 100k. I'm all for N/A engines but I'd prefer a factory SC package over the NA package any day, since it will produce MORE hp and cost less.
I'd be embarrassed to tell anyone I spent $100k on an when a 1 year old model can be found for nearly 1/2 the price. |

Insane engine cost vs. an ESS VT-1 550 for a 1/3 of the price!

The Price is about right
If you add the price of the modifications with the based price, the car is $121,522. that's he is asking $120 plus. So the guy just wants to loose like 1 grand, the car devaluates he does not want to loose money... and 74k for a limerock m3? he had a cheap one. usually fully loaded the limerock is around $83 to $85k. the guy should be asking 105 to 110k.

I'm not saying it's bad. Just not my cup of tea. I think S/C's are way overhyped on these boards. Power isn't everything. I'm willing to be most of the owners of supercharged M3's on these boards aren't even very good drivers (and definitely not saying that I am). No one seems to care that you are adding weight and losing a bit of throttle/linear response in the process. But most owners don't track their car either so I guess those points are moot.

I dunno guys.. this sounds about right for an all Dinan'ed out M3 with the 4.6 stroker at MSRP
MSRP on a decently loaded limerock alone is around $80K+ The only thing that looks questionable on the price list are the black wheels which on some Limerocks was included in the package price.. You've be a fool to pay MSRP of course... but i'm sure they are trying to find that right sucker. |

An intercooler blown M3 running water/meth to keep IATs ambient is phenominal on the track. The throttle response is unchanged as is the linear powerband. If you want, you can also keep the revs down if you don't need all the power up top. Now with this much power, things need to be upgraded to handle the additional power. Good news is that the M3 has the chassis to support this. And will provide you a track car that will be faster in the hands of the right driver.
