So how hard is it to install/remove the lower splitter on the GTS-style version?

As simple as unscrewing a few screws. Can be done in under 20 minutes in the comfort of your own garage

Reminds me a lot of the s2000 splitter that a Japanese company made, same shape and slotted holes for adjustability.

Are those stands that mount to the chassis carbon? How strong is this setup? Looks pretty but will it stand up to track abuse?
