that's a smart idea
I do the same thing as far as turning off the Idrive when driving. I am curious why so many don't care for Idrive overall though? It's a computer screen in our vehicle that makes items like: M settings visible and easy to change, vehicle info such as service items, checking oil level, messages when there is an issue, Bluetooth music controls, apps etc... Isn't it better/easier than controlling everything through the blinker stalk that gives limited info?

I still find it helpful and appreciate the fact I have it. Only gripe is driving at night when theres no need for it.

It can "sometimes" be distracting even at the dimmest setting.

Double hump doesn't concern me in any way either.
