275/35/19 or 275/30/19..confused
Hey guys im a little confused with these two setups.
1. Is a 275 yoko ad08 to narrow for a 10.5 hre wheel? Ive seen plenty of pictures and it looks pretty good. 2. What is difference of running a 275/35 and 275/30 tires? My car is on lowest setting on kw v3s in the rear if this makes a difference. Im looking for a stance like this...with a 22 offset rear wheel+spacer i think itll look great. I see on tire rack they only sell a 275/30/19 tire. Some stances i like.. |

I have been facing the same dilemma all week too. I got 10.5 inch rears but not sure if the 275 would stretch too much, and the 295 option seems like it would be too wide for my KW's. Did a bit of research and most people say AD08's run a bit wide naturally. Hopefully someone can chime in.

for the rear you want to 30 to minimize rubbing. but most tires you cant tell the difference between a 35 and a 30. most side walls come out and cover the edge of the rim. other tires are angled inward so it doesnt rub on the fenders.

simple answer:
if you are on stock height, 275/35 will be fine and will likely look better since it gives a little more meat on the tire however, i am lowered on KW v3 and 275/35 gives me slight rubbing in the wheel well so i would go for 275/30 in this case. since youre lowered, go for 275/30, fender gap wont be an issue anyway.

the profile, "35" or "30", determines the height of the sidewall. The 35 tire is taller than the 30 tire.
I think the 275 tire will look similar to the 265 on the stock zcp's... aka slightly stretched. Why would you want this? Are your current tires not working?

The 30 or 35 represents the sidewall height as a percentage of the tires width. So a 275/35 is taller than the stock 265/35. A 275/30 is significantly shorter. A 295/30 would be very close to stock height.
There are calculators that will tell you the exact change is height as a percentage. I use th 1010tires.com calculator. |
