Is it salvaged? That price is too good to be true only for 18k miles

I think that's a fantastic deal for a carbon roof dct. If you can get it for 23,000 hop on it. Super low mileage for 09

No salvage title. I checked the Car Fax. It is an active title. It does have an accident claim. Appears it was for around $6000

I would typically shy away but it is going to be a track car and therefore it isn't as much of a concern.

Something sounds off... Recently bought mine with 3 times the miles for more than that...

Seems a bit sketchy, that accident scares me because the price is so low, have it seen the car in person?

Ahh gotcha, I’m still curious because there’s gotta be a catch. Check it out and test drive it and let us know what’s the deal with it. That car with that mileage should be around ~$35k

When I was shopping for mine, I checked out a "accident free" m3 at carmax, clearly involved in an accident as the hood would not close properly and there were lines in the paint job. That car will be a disaster for any poor soul that got it.

After I bought my clean 17k m3, and drove it across the entire US incident free, someone pulled out of the driveway and tapped my tire bending it in a bit. That resulted in $6k worth of damage with the rear assembly being replaced, etc. Of course, dealer prices, but the car runs true even though my carfax got dinged. No body or frame damage, just replaceable parts. Example of an expensive accident that means nothing.

The point of this story is just this - if you go for this, make sure you understand what that accident was all about.

I will be taking the Greyhound tomorrow. It's 3 hours away. I will inspect it and have a good look at it. I will get a felling about it when I am there. They offered up the Car fax right away. They bought the car in 2014. It's an older gentleman who now has some health issues. It will be interesting to put the Carly App to verify mileage. Ive seen the odometer in a picture so it may be accurate. As for the damage, it doesn't take much for the bill to escalate. That's for a minor repair at a BMW approved facility. I will keep everyone posted as things progress.

I've got a bus pass and a bank draft in hand.

The mileage shows accurate in photos that I've seen. I'll know more tomorrow.

Do a cold start if possible and listen for rod knock prior to warmup. Taking a code reader along would be a good idea if you are able. Sounds like a super deal, good luck!

As others have posted, sounds way too good to be true. For your sake, I hope it is. For comparison, I bought my 2009 E92, DCT, carbon roof, nav, non-competition a year ago with 69k miles. Bought it from an indy dealer who detailed the car and put new Hankooks on for an as-bought price of $26k. The proof will be in the drive. Sounds like you're prepared.

I'm fairly confident that Tim is prepared for this whichever way it goes. There was another local one that he almost went through with but the deal just didn't feel right from my perspective. I also was confident that given the mileage and options the seller was asking too much. I kept asking him if he was prepared to walk away and I feel he did the right thing in that case.

I'm sure Tim is ready for whatever is in front of him this afternoon when he goes to look and potentially purchase this car. If acquired it will be our 5th E9x M3 so not our first rodeo. And the destiny of this car is not as a garage queen but as a track whore so whatever the fate is we will either live with it or wait for the next one to come along.

Car is sold....to me. We are proud owners of our first E92 M3!

The car is tight and super clean. I can tell where it was repainted but most people wouldn't know.

This is now our fifth E9X M3. I will say that I never grow tired of these cars.

Pictures to follow.
